I feel like if there’s any group of people who have to feel like political footballs basically all the time its gotta be ex-Muslims. Especially ex muslims who tend toward the leftist end of the political spectrum. I’ve seen all manner of white people and never muslims explaining to ex Muslims what their background is, how they’re supposed to feel, how they’re ex-Muslimming wrong, and to be honest it just looks super effing exhausting.
